Power of the present moment

We are all imprinted with ancestral energies from conception that are stored within our DNA and carried over into our life-time. Our life is largely influenced by these energies or frequencies.

What often detracts us from the present moment is the heavy or dense energies that come from sources we may not even be fully aware of. To the extent we are identified (merged) with these energies, that is, viscerally not feeling in our bodies that these energies are not reflecting the truth of who we are, we pull in life experiences that mirror this unfulilling reality. This is due to the law of vibrational attraction.

Vibrational states always match in any dynamic or interaction between people in our own journey. Don’t let anyone fool you with statements about attracting opposites, which is what I come across in for example typically in discussions about narcissists and empaths, where empaths are portrayed as the victims and narcissists as the perpetrators. We always attract exactly an energetic vibrational mirror to our inner world. More on that another time.

Back to our DNA. Because we have been with these energies from conception, you may not realise just how much you are experiencing and basing decisions on what is essentially not coming from your deeper self.

In fact, most people are currently living an almost complete version or duplicate of the experiences of their ancestral identities. They are not in control of their true selves. I can sense the degree to which someone is not align and congruent with who they are being in the moment.

I learned this from much misaligned truth fed to me over my lifetime where my inner feelings were in opposition with what I was told as truth.

Now I can discern falsities from actual truth and built the muscle of relying on my intuitive compass. I can feel even nuances and subtleties in what signals people are giving off that are ‘off-balance’ to their larger whole.

I developed this sensitivity from my family upbringing where my mother for example was basing her actions and choices on fears about the future (and not from trust in her self), which became the perfect avoidance to actually be present in the moment to experience life as it unfolded.

This wasn’t her fault and it’s not about blame. But, in short, it was due to her held belief in lack based on a strong undercurrent of fear which would trigger a life and death survival response that she carried from lineage that had nothing to do with her actual true self.

This is an example of how I read the energy patterns and translate them into words. But as a child growing up, this was the major energetic undercurrent that I was continuously bathed in and consequently imprinted with. It became a life-stream from which I operated that clouded and influenced my decision making in all areas of my life.

I saw how these beliefs my mother held came from inherited patterns of ancestral origin. Patterns carried over from my grandfather for example, who lived a sheltered life during WWII and who was terrified of “the bombs dropping on his place of shelter”. A literal survival pattern.

This led to an energetically imprinted identity and matching belief system that concluded “there is no safety (trust) in life, danger lies around every corner and when it manifests, great and unbearable losses will be incurred”.

And yet, these energies we carry have a purpose. They want to be seen, acknowledged or released so that we can come into deeper alignment with ourselves or to be refined and used as a gift in our lifetime.

As I always say, awareness is key to transformation. In my case, one reason for these dense energies was to awaken me in phases to everything I was holding onto, according to my level of readiness in each phase of time.

I further carried these ancestral energies so that I could learn empathy and compassion towards how my ancestors lived, what they had gone through, how unfulfilled their lives had been, so that I could make different choices in my lifetime. Another reason was to awaken me to spot these patterns in others to help them too transform and awaken to their true selves.

Healing requires intuitive listening to what any given frequency is carrying and conveying, as it carries embedded information. Sometimes energy just wants to be released to the light, other times, especially when it sticks, it’s meant to awaken a gift as part of our purpose.

Power in the moment

Now back to the power of the present moment. It sounds cliché but it is true. Our power does not lie in the future (our projections or fears) nor in the past (stories based on our experiences).

Our power to transform every aspect of our lives really lies in the moment of now, i.e. when time is actually taking place. Trauma and wounding moves us away from the present moment (also known as dissociation). The closer we get in time (the now moment in the experience of ourselves), the more deeply we can awaken to a higher, more vibrant and abundant state.

This is our natural state, and where awakening requires us to learn to be ever more present of our bodies with each and every moment, so what comes up can be loved, accepted and integrated at ever-deepening levels.

This is the growth spiral.

Inspired insights

My first inspired insight for today is that there are multi-faceted reasons for what we are holding onto as we are energy beings. What you are ready for and conscious of is the limit of what you can take away from any experience. This process of awakening cannot be forced or rushed.

The second inspired insight is how living from your beingness is the key to living a truly fulfilling life. To do that requires a complete knowing of who you really are.

The third insight is realising that when your doingness doesn’t flow from the connection to your beingness, you will surely make misaligned choices. It’s not that this is a mistake, you will simply go on a detour which will teach you more about your “not-self” parts, which is an invaluable and necessary experience to get to know yourself better and find out what you do want, which will bring you closer into alignment again.

In my case, being out of alignment for so long created a pressure-cooker of frustration and anger. Anger serves as a ‘no’ boundary and generates momentum to move forward, which was fuel that could be used from my stronger resolve about what I did want when I was ready to integrate all this energy as power. This has been my way in which spirit brought my path to my attention. For more on using emotions as fuel to move forward, see: Transforming Pain to Purpose

The process of awakening through anger and frustration (activation of sacred fire) is taking place more often through people that are ready and simultaneously done with the way in which they have sacrificed themselves to maintain a status-quo that is totally off-balance to who they are.

More specifically on awakening through the state of anger another day.
