First of all, Happy New Year and best wishes for 2020 to all of you!
I had an inspired moment of excitement and guidance come in to share the concept of love containers with you. By love containers I mean creating energetic containers to support the awakening of your true self, where you practice holding loving space for the parts that make you up in your inner experience of life.
We all carry parts, voices, feelings, judgments, and the more we can develop a strong and loving relationship to our inner reality with these different parts, the stronger we become. Sometimes what parts are saying or make us feel are congruent to our wants and desires, sometimes they are in opposition, which creates contrasts within the totality of our beingness.
A simple example is when we are deciding to go to a party, where one part may be excited to socialise and connect, another may feel scared to show up with potential strangers, and another may not want to go at all.
This is a simple example that we can all relate to, yet where this practice becomes significant is when we have inner voices reflecting parts of us that are so strong, that we believe the stories we hold about ourselves in the reality that is being mirrored to us by those parts.
For example, you may believe if you quit your job, you won’t have any money come in to pay your bills and thus you never quit the job, even if you totally hate it as it is not in line with who you are.
Now it becomes really valuable to learn to hold a self-loving space from a place of connecting to your own goodness and self-trust, knowing you are OK, that you will be supported and that things will turn out better for you.
This practice applies equally to when you don’t choose to quit your job, which when you can hold that space for yourself is an opportunity for deeper love can grow.
The process of creating love containers is where all parts that are not yet loved about yourself, that you judge or resist, can be acknowledged and receive love whether you are OK with yourself or not.
This is an in-the-moment practice that is especially important when you find it hard to love who you are and where you are without needing to change any aspect of yourself.
No matter what adversity you encounter, what fear or resistance comes up, what you believe you need to do or must do, it matters only what quality of love you have in your relationship to yourself.
To practice loving where we are at without needing to do or change anything or need to take steps to get to a place that is deemed “better” is a typically weak muscle within our culture.
Holding high quality self-loving space is the key.
You can visualise this process as your true self with concentric rings that you place and hold around those parts you do not feel you can love. This includes your inner voices of harsh judgment, any insecurities, strong beliefs or conclusions about yourself which when you resist or resent them are preventing you from dropping deeper into who you really are.
This is especially important when you are in self-discovery and transition on the path of awakening, as you will get tested when you move deeper within.
This is often where more support is needed from others who vibrate at higher states of consciousness and have already more deeply integrated healing and can mirror what is going on for you, such as where your blind spots are and where you are not yet fully allowing yourself to receive love.
Group work and personal individual work is central here to develop a strong quality of connection to your being.
In time, these containers will effectively solidify in your psyche and provide you with a loving nurturing internal strength that no one can touch or change, because it is you that is now holding yourself in the highest state of love and goodness that you are, no matter what.
This is true spiritual empowerment and self-realisation, and a real hallmark of an awakened spirit.
